What advice might you give to a new coach trying to get their first clients? Any advice they should ignore?
Create as many opportunities to coach as you can!
The more you coach, the more you coach; the less you coach, the less you coach.
Coach for free, coach anybody, you’ll become better at what you do, you will get valuable feedback on your work that will slowly build up your confidence.
Ignore those who say you need to build an audience to sell your coaching services; I know plenty of coaches who make a very decent living without social media.
If you received an extra $10k to spend on your coaching business, how would you spend it and why?
Coaching, for me and for my team. We are beautiful creators, and sometimes we forget because we get caught up in daily tasks!
The quicker we are able to shift our perspectives, the better. Taking a step back and exploring what is truly important saves us time and energy.
What are some of your favorite affirmations, thoughts, mantras, and/or journal prompts currently? Why?
“Life is always happening for me”. Whatever happens, I interpret situations as being pleasant or unpleasant because I don’t have the manual to read what is unfolding. This mantra helps me keep my mind and my heart open.
Do you have any examples of how a “failure” set you up for later success?
I wrote my first book many years ago. I thought it would be a huge hit because it was in a famous collection. I was planning to hide behind it my whole life!
Because it didn’t make me wealthy and successful, I had to learn how to be visible and talk about my message, probably the most important skills I had to grow in my life.
If you could put a message on a huge billboard—what would it say and why?
“Live from the heart, money will follow.”
A quote from Millionaire from the Heart, my latest book.
I didn’t expect to create the results I am experiencing in my coaching business, it is a by-product of following my heart and daring greatly, anybody with a wild heart can do it too.
