Tell us about your story

In 2015, I wrote my first book, One Mother’s Journey: Creating My Family Through In Vitro Fertilization, and the response was overwhelming.

I had no idea how my book would help people and that was then that I began doing research on coaching and if there was a place to get a coaching certificate.

I was always inspired by Louise Hay and how she lived a life filled with adversity and struggle but how she managed to get to the other side. She was authentic.

I received my coaching certificate from the Life Purpose Institute in August 2018 and I hit the ground running. As with any business, it is a process, and it evolved as I evolved.

My niche became life transitions: divorce, death, retirement, etc, and getting in front of people is what helped me the most.

The more people that could experience my energy, the more clients I acquired.

A huge turning point for me, in terms of programs and amount of clients, was COVID-19. As a Life Transitions Specialist, this has been the biggest transition we have all gone through and my wellness program has been taught via ZOOM to gyms all across the United States.

What are your thoughts on “choosing a niche” as a coach?

Choosing a niche is super important – especially when you are starting out because it allows you to focus your skills and energies as you build your brand and your business. Starting any business can be very overwhelming and if your services are too broad you will have difficulty crafting your message and reaching people.

The more laser focused you are, the more impactful your messaging will be, and then you can really build the value and communicate that value to potential clients.

What advice would you give to a new life coach trying to get her first few clients

The biggest piece of advice is not to compare yourself with other coaches. What you may see on the surface is huge success but what you aren’t privy to are the years of paying dues and hard work that got them to their successes. Run your own race and make sure you connect to your niche. Make sure it aligns with how you want to help people. The more authentic you are – the more successful you will be in your coaching career.

What books have most impacted your life?

Trust Life (Louise Hay) – a daily affirmation book that helps keep me grounded and my mindset positive.

You Can Heal Your Life (Louise Hay) – a transformational book about really healing your life on many levels.

The Four Agreements (Luis Miquel) – a reminder on how to live your your life by following four simple yet very difficult to follow life agreements.

In the last five years, what new belief, behavior, or habit has most improved your life?

Okay this one easy. In the last five years my two new beliefs which have also served as motivation through my own major life transition (divorce) are “to be vulnerable is to be brave,” and “sometimes motivation comes when the burden of being unhappy becomes heavier to carry than the fear of the unknown.”

If you could have a huge billboard anywhere with anything on it, what would it say and why?

 YOU ARE ENOUGH!

Because we just don’t give ourselves enough credit, enough self-respect and enough love!
