What advice would you give to a new life coach? What advice should they ignore?

My advice would be: Focus on learning brings opportunities for earning. When we focus on our growth, clients are divinely guided to us.

Regarding what advice they should ignore, I would say that they should ignore any advice that asks them to be inauthentic or manipulative. But, every Soul has a different journey. I would prefer not to judge their paths.

What are some of your favorite mantras, thoughts, or journal prompts?

‘Live to learn and you will learn to live’ is my motto.

‘I live in a friendly Universe’ is my favourite mantra.

‘Whatever happens, its purpose is to serve me’. This is my experience.

‘When you express an intention with integrity in the Universe, the Universe moves to accommodate you’ is my belief.

“Aham Brahmasmi” I am the Universe. This is my understanding.

‘God loves me’ is my faith.

And ‘I love me’ is my favourite affirmation.

What is the book (or books) you’ve given most as a gift, and why?

You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay is the book I have gifted the most because, in my opinion, self healing is utmost essential for growth. It is a superb guide to physical and mental wellbeing. Further, I believe that the book has something for everyone.

It would be injustice to me if I have to mention only 2 to 5 books which influenced my life.

I would prefer to modify the question and share the top five authors whom I have read and whose writings profoundly influenced my life: Louise Hay, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Dr  Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, Neale Donald Walsch, and J. Krishnamurti. These are my pen Gurus.

I would also mention a few specific books: The Power and The Magic by Rhonda Byrne, Happy for No Reason by Marci Shimoff, The Dark Side of the Light Chasers by Debbie Ford, The Power of Your Subconscious mind by Dr. Joseph Murphy, As a Man Thinketh by James Allen, The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles, Zero Limits by Dr. Joe Vitale and Dr. Hew Len and The Law of Divine Compensation and Return to Love by Marianne Williamson.

Tell us about your journey as a life coach.

My journey as a life coach is indeed a wondrous story. It all started when I was participating in an NLP based workshop conducted by a member of FORUM. During the concluding session I happened to visualize myself in the place of the coach and I experienced a beautiful vibration in my body. Soon thereafter my world became totally topsy-turvy.

I was clueless as to why things were being the way they were. I prayed to God to lift me out of the turmoil. Then one day I met someone who became my friend, philosopher and guide. I used to share everything with him and still do. After patiently listening to my complaints and grievances and grudges he smiled and said: Nothing is happening to you. Everything is happening to train you for something big, something great.

That was the moment I made a major decision… decision to quit my profession as a lawyer and re-qualify myself to be a Counsellor and Life Coach. I was forty then. I did Masters in Psychology and before I could receive my degree, a Therapy Centre was ready for me. By the law of ‘like attracts like’ I joined a Psychiatrist who was passionate to create a centre which resonated with my dream.

I realized how a series of miracles had taken place when I conducted my first Life Skills training session in the same hall in which I had visualized to be a coach. What better signal could I have received from the Universe!

Last fifteen years, I have been practicing as a Counsellor and Life Coach. Each day brings immense satisfaction. I have coached people from students to professionals, from businessmen to corporate managers. All the opportunities to learn and share came to me in Divine Order. I am living a truly inspired life!
