Kimi Lu – Featured Coach

Coaching focus: I’ve been conducting private sessions and workshops for the past 10 years. I’m also a corporate coach who helps companies create a progressive culture by equipping employees and business owners with essential skills that make them feel good about themselves, their work and their teams through these healing modalities.

Location: Phillipines

Tell us about your coaching journey: In the middle of my regular workday, I found myself crying out of nowhere. Tears were just falling from my eyes. I couldn’t understand why and that made me reflect a lot about what was happening in my life. I felt empty inside. I didn’t think I had to see a doctor for it but I knew I had to talk to someone about it. I searched online for a life coach in the Philippines and couldn’t find one – and I had a crazy idea of becoming one because I knew that one day, someone else will feel the same way I did and they would need someone to talk to!

In 2010, I went to San Diego, California to get my certification at Bennet Stellar University. I was then initiated with “Angels” at the Spiritual Unfoldment Network in Manhattan, New York City. In 2012, I upgraded my practice by learning BioDynamic Breathwork at Urban Breath New York, practiced Meditation at The Art of Living Center New York, and trained to become a Storyteller at The Story Studio New York. In 2017, I took John Maxwell’s Success Blueprint certification course in Singapore to expand and strengthen my corporate services. Most recently, I went to London UK and completed the NIA Technique White Belt Intensive Training Course! I integrate the Art of Sensation in all of the workshops I’m co-creating with other individuals with different expertise for self-discovery, self-healing, and self-mastery.

What are some courses, programs, or certifications you’ve taken part in? Would you recommend them, and for whom?  

I loved my NIA teaching certification course so much! I took it in London and at that time I kept telling myself – why did I just take this course now! After 8 years of being a life coach. 

What are some of your favorite mantras or thoughts? 

You are at the right place, at the right time, with the right people. Always. In all ways. 

Life is a party. Celebrate it!

What are your thoughts on “choosing a niche” as a coach? 

Very helpful! I started out as not having one but now I learned that I am a Life + Corporate Coach holding Sacred Spaces for growth seekers & progressive teams reach their highest potential through holistic programs.

What advice would you give to a new life coach?

Ignore: you can’t do it 

Focus on: do the work you were designed to do

What’s the biggest challenge you have with your business right now and how are you going to overcome it?

The buying perception of people right now is quite blocked due to the pandemic. But with good purpose and reason, I know that clients will see the value of having a life coach especially during these uncertain times.
